The preferred candidate will possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. We prefer candidates to have at least 1 to 2 years of retail experience as well as strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and general computer & calculator skills.

A strong love of books is the biggest requirement along with that, the right bookseller must know how to alphabetize easily and quickly as this is used daily in your work. Must be able to work well unsupervised and be an initiator with attention to details.

This job is open to College/University students with a FLEXIBLE schedule from 8a-7p or anyone not currently holding other engagements as we require flexibility for the training period of 4 weeks, 7 days a week. This is a minimum wage position to start with an average of 10-20 hours per week after the initial training period with the possibility of more depending on need and requirement.

Physical Requirements:
• MUST be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50lbs with assistance.
• MUST be able to spend most of the shift on your feet (3-8 hrs includes: bending, crouching, standing, walking)
